(Banquet) Policies

1. A deposit of $500.00 is required to guarantee your date. Cancellation will mean forfeiture of your deposit. Deposit is nonrefundable. An additional $500.00 is due four {4} weeks prior to event when menu is selected. Full payment on food and bar due seven {7} days prior to your event date. All payments are required in cash, personal check (local) or cashier’s check. Credit cards NOT accepted for deposits or payments of food/beverage.

2. A 17% service charge and applicable state sales tax will automatically be added to your final bill for all food and beverage functions.

3. Four {4} weeks prior to your event, please schedule an appointment with our Banquet Manager. During your appointment you will inform the Banquet Manager of your menu selections, any specifics relating to your event, as well as your estimate of the number of guests. It is imperative that an appointment be made so we may properly serve you.

4. A guaranteed number of guests is due {7} seven days prior to your event. We cannot be responsible for service to more than 5% over the guaranteed number. To ensure safety if you do not meet your guarantee, we do not allow you to take any remaining food home, so please make sure your count is accurate.

5. Please note that Walker’s Maple Grove prohibits the serving/consumption of any food or beverage not purchased from Walker’s Maple Grove. Note: Specially decorated celebration cakes will be allowed.

6. Our service includes: Complete china, linen napkins and tablecloths, silverware, skirted buffet, bridal, and gift tables, bud vases, candles, candelabras, cake knife, podium for guest book, floral arrangement on the buffet table. Gazebo use by appointment for your photographs {1 hour limit}. Promptness appreciated.

7. Cake will be cut and served by our staff only
Up to 100 persons - $60.00
101 to 175 persons - $70.00
Over 175 persons - $75.00

8. Banquet Room is available one hour prior to dinner. Please take pictures of your cake during this time.

9.  Walker’s Maple Grove reserves the right to require security personnel for an event if need is determined.  We will require a minimum of three security personnel at a cost of $300.00 to the guest.  Any additional personnel will be billed at $100.00 each.

10.  No decorations may be attached to the walls or ceiling in any of our banquet rooms.  No silly string, confetti, or bubbles are allowed.  Only enclosed candles are permitted.  If this policy is violated a cleanup fee of $300.00 will be added to the final bill. Groups are responsible for any physical damage to rooms or contents and you will be charged accordingly.  Walker’s Maple Grove is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles on premises.

11. Walker’s must be permitted adequate time after dinner for clean up of the room.  Banquet room bar will not open until after the complete clean up of the room unless, other arrangements have been negotiated and approved by Banquet Manager.

12. Prices are subject to change without notice.  Please call 45 days prior to your event to get accurate price information.

13.  Walker’s Maple Grove reserves the right to assign the facility most suited to the size and type of function being held.

14. Walker’s Maple Grove shall not be liable to customers for loss of profit or actual or consequential damages occasioned by its inability to perform and of its obligations under this agreement by reason of fire, strikes, war, civil disturbances, acts of God, unavoidable casualties, public carrier delays, inability to obtain necessary supplies, or acts of public authorities or utility interruptions or loss of heat or air conditioning or equipment failure.

15.  Orchestra, band and DJ arrangements are made by the booking party itself.  If tables, skirting, or other supplies are needed by musicians Walker’s Maple Grove must be informed 1 week prior to function.  Volume should be kept at an appropriate level.  Management reserves the right to control the volume levels at any point during the function when it is deemed necessary and when the levels are exceeding the point where it is compromising the comfort of area residents.  Music may play until 12:00 a.m. and the banquet room must be cleared by 12:30 a.m.

16.  If customer chooses to delay starting time of scheduled meal by more than 15 minutes with less than 24 hour notice, Walker’s Maple Grove is not responsible for the time line of the duration of the function.

No exceptions to the above banquet policies unless negotiated and approved of at the time arrangements are made.
